Does anyone have a scan/CAD file for a map pocket lid? If not I'm about to start working on one as a side project from the 3d printable door plastics and figure out a pin design that would work

Why it is important to have a 3D print of these:

Two parts I would like to be able to print are the transmission oil pan and differential cover.
Upgraded ones with extra capacity and cooling fins are just a bit too expensive for what they are.
Seems like they would be good parts to print with metal laser sintering.

Wow, I love it. Have you attached it? If yes, can you please share a picture of it? I like the color combination. Thank you in advance.

Full scan

I know it would take a massive effort but has anyone ever thought of scanning most of the car and somehow making it a full 3D explodable model. It would be super dope to be able to “work” on the car in virtual reality and then apply it in the real world. Would even be able to include like a repository of all the mods and custom panels people have made models of and see how they would look and fit.

These covers that sit on top of the FD headlight retractor motor are hard to find. They are rubber, but perhaps a plastic substitute could be designed.

I'll see if I have any. Should be easy to replicate.

Found this the other day for a RHD. Mirror it and it should work for LHD?

Probably easier just to send to a print farm with bigger printers instead of injection molding at low volume.

Printed out these tpu bushings that snap into the factory fuel line clamps and holds a -8 feed and -6 return. Only works if you ditch the factory hardlines including the fuel tank vent line.

Thinking this thread needs to be a Sticky. I think as our cars continue to age and parts become NLA, efforts like this will be extremely relevant.

Fwiw, I have a heated/enclosed printer and a creality Scanner. I also have no interior plastics aside from the dash and seats (no gauge bezel or hood)
if anyone is local to me (the colony, tx), I have a creality scanner I could help with scanning in parts.
i can also model, just not that great at it yet.
heres an attempt at creating an injector holder to diy flush the stock injectors out.

/ creating the mesh stl.

I have an old Revopoint Pop scanner that works fairly ok for the price.

If anyone has a model for the top of the door panel vents (LHD) and a good color match to the red interior, I'd be willing to buy a set. Found a company a few years ago, Protoforge, that had almost an exact red color match and very good print quality, but seems they aren't making FD parts anymore.
