odometer rollback
odometer rollback
I purchased a car 2 years ago and now that im getting ready to sell it I find that the person I bought it from must have changed the odometer. He did not inform me of this and put 42k actual miles on the pink slip. I have since put a new motor in the car. Is there anyway I could win like a small claims court case or like get the dmv to have him pay me money?
Thanks alot
Thanks alot
How did they roll back the odometer? its purely digital
Check www.carfax.com to get a report on it before you do anything. They will be able to tell based upon millage reports whether it has been rolled back or not.

1)- Is he the original owner?
2)- Do you have documentation (dated Repair Receipts or Oil change receipts) indicating conflicting mileage to support the "roll-back" occurred under his ownership?
3)- Has the Instument Panel been replaced?
4)- Auto to manual swap?
