Odometer problems.

Finally got my car running today and I noticed that mileage was not showing up on the odometer. The screen lights up when ever you turn the key on but thats it. I have heard about the bulb behind the lcd burning out causing it to be dim, but you are still able to read the mileage. Mind doesn't read a damn thing so I guess it's time for the new cluster. Is there anything else that I should check before I replace the cluster. I would hate to buy and still not fix my problem.

Check all the wiring to the cluster, and all fuses to the cluster. Thats about all I can think of, but i'm sure others that have had the problem will chime in soon.

I think you are screwed, mine did the same and according to pettit you have no choice but a new or used speedometer gauge. A used speedometer will have the mileage from the previous owner. I don't think you can just install the odometer itself, you have to put in the whole gauge and odometer together. I think this is correct but maybe someone knows something else????
