odometer problem

how do you fix the odometer when it goes out? i couldn't find anything wrong but you can't see the numbers anymore. what happend? I also have the head light problem that they don't come down. I need help before I take it to a shop and let them rob me.

Well, I was told you just have to replace the whole Speedometer gauge which is what I did.

Can't tell you how true it is but a few people said they had to do the same.

Lucky me though, it went out like at 98k and when maybe 500 miles before I blew the engine. So now I'll be at almost 100k AND a rebuild with a new engine (except for maybe 500 miles or so).
