Odometer

The lighting (LCD) on my dash went out , but everything else is OK . Is my ECU still counting the mileage and can I fix it ???HELP!!!

May be the ECU needs to be tweeked or "jump started" again. Did you try by disconnecting/connecting the battery,.. as in the process used while in limp mode?? ALso, check for a blown fuse??

If that doesn't solve the problem, then it's concentrated to the LCD read out only.

You need to replace the odometer computer on the backside of the speedometer. Likely, you will no longer have the correct mileage. You should disclose this to future buyers. The main ECU does not keep track of mileage, other than is the car has passed 30,000 miles.

Well, the ECU doesn't track your mileage, the speedo does.

If it's just the bulb that's out, then it's not a problem.

Are you just not seeing the odometer display, but all other gauges are working? Is that the problem?

YES !! The whole dash works , minus the lighting on the mileage (odom) ONLY . I've heard of replacing the light on the lcd display , but that was long ago ...anyone know about this and what I need to fix it ?? Thanks guys ...
