odd-ness...
I don't really know why this happens but whenever I start my car a couple of times during the day, say like 4 or 5 times when im out running errands, groceries, beer, food...whatever I start to get a loopy idle after start-up which will ultimately lead to stalling out after about 10 seconds. It's cured if I just rev to approx 1,500 for like 3 seconds then it idles normally at 1 grand. It also only does this if the engine is still warm and I've only turned the car on after 15 minutes of it being off. Meaning it starts up fine when its cold. But after 4-5 time of being shut off and turned back on will it get loopy. The car runs fine, I just don't know what this is.
And for my second question which hopefully isn't related, is it possible to have a blown engine and maintain a solid idle?

Hooray For Boobies!!!
Sounds like normal hot start issues if you ask me. Sometimes these cars need a little help/time finding the idle again after a hot start.
If your motor was bad the idle would never come around and your vacuum would be low at idle.
