O2 Sensor?

The wire of the back of the 02 sensor came off. I need to take it to my mechanic to look at my boost problem. It looks like I need to get a new 02 sensor just for the wire. Can I hook the wire back up to it or do I need to get a new 02 sensor. Also can I drive it with it not connected?

yes. unfortunately, i have been for quite some time now. It will force your computer to run in open loop mode which is rather rich. don't know how good for your engine it is, but i have been this way for over a year now. (my ECU doesn't like O2 sensors )

Thanks bro you've been helping me out a lot the past posts. I can't believe you been running open loop mode for over a year!! Will this mode allow me to boost properly or not boost at all?

I don't think it will hurt anything but your fuel economy.

BTW, if the wire is disconnected, you may as well replace the O2 sensor while you are reconnecting it. You can get the Booch (sp?) one from a local parts store for around $40.
