O2 senser woes... make the right choice

Just wondering, has anybody has ever tried using other than factory O2 sensers? I can get a Standard(Blue Streak) one for real cheap but the brand scares me. The other options are getting a echlin senser for a little cheaper then the factory one, or to just spend the cash and get the factory one. I have allready got some good words from TomsRx7 about this, just looking for more input. Do all these brands get made by all one company? If they are I can save myself lots of cash...as long as it doesn't cost me more later..... Thanks for the 411

they say universal, that means solder existing connector and thats it? No other difference? Do all O2 sensors respond the same way and it is just the build that is different?

No real difference, except for maybe life of the sensor. I just use Bosch Universal. I believe the stock O2 sensor is made by NTK
