I'd still classify that as an SMIC mounting, looks good either way.

What did you do with the radiator? Did you relocate it?

if that's teh case I would have to agree that it is still classified as a SMIC. Similar to the CWC SMIC. either way you could benefit if you relocated the radiator

EXCUSE ME FOR CALLING IT A V MOUNT. Do you have any pictures on how the radiator should go.

Do you mean: How should it go for a v-mount? Just angle it so the IC and the radiator make a V, opening to the front of the car.

A VMIC gets air directly to the radiator and to the IC. In contrast to a FMIC or a SMIC which gets air mainly to either the radiator or intercooler at the tradeoff of the other.

Diagram

Here's a diagram of the difference between a stock mount and a v-mount.

I'm not finish with it. I will be making a duct and shield that will direct cold air straight to the IC and Radiator.

I've looked it reversing the angle of the stock radiator. There doesn't seem to be a simple way to do it. You end up with the fans on the backside of the radiator, blowing into the undertray.

Its not the JDM factor, it is the efficiency of how it works and I love it.....one of the best mods that I did and well worth the money..

I think I saw a V-mount on a world rally car, where rad was about horizontal, on top. This would have less heat soak, but longer IC piping.

Other wrc cars had side by side rad and IC, or very large fmics. Helps when you have a huge opening up front.
