Now what could cause that?

Found the cause of my overheat from day one less than 200 miles.

Must have been a bad or damaged thermostat. At least it's an easy fix.

How hot did that motor get? Overheat these motors once and there is a good change a coolant seal will fail. You should have a 1 year/12k mile warranty on that motor.

Yea I'll be remembering that every time I have to add coolant. Got up to 240f +? several times.
