.....while taking off my downpipe in preparation to remove the engine.
I was thinking this is NOT a good thing and could have possibly led to a fire. Maybe it is a good thing the engine blew, huh?

especially since these motors have had a rep. of sometimes havin fires
I was warned about oil goin into turbos and radiator when i got my car (had a blown motor and ended up towing it so that wouldnt happen)

No need to remove the downpipe to remove the engine. I pulled the entire engine/trans/downpipe together. Only thing I removed first was the a/c and p/s. No other disassembly required.
