Well the 5 to 6 pounds sounds like an open wastegate, got a boost controller? Alot of things happen at 4000 rpm, so maybe use the light trick to check the code it throws.

No, a boost controller will not solve your problem. You have a boost leak somewhere in the system....

ground the ten terminal in the diag box to see what the code is. and yea it could be a boost leak. how did you do the conversion? full with cutting of the door etc?

Not having the pills installed does NOT equal a boost leak, it simply means that the wastegate will open at 7 psi, instead of 10+. Given that he has a full open exhaust and can only hit 5-6 psi in cold weather, I'm guessing he has a boost leak somewhere.

I guess , or weak turbo's. Well if he has no boost control, and no pills then the leak would be small but he didnt specify so I just assumed.

well there you have it.the pills are located in the pre control and wastegate actuator lines.I dont know how they are set up in non sequential mode but in sequential mode they are required in order to produce the right amount of boost.
