Question Non-Sequential quick questions

I know there are lots of threads on this subject, but most replies are a debate on sequential vs non. Not really on the conversion it self.

Since the best threads I've found are somewhat old, I would like to clear some questions out:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...non-sequencial
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/trying-make-ultimate-non-sequential-diagram-270411/
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=270411

1. On some diagrams, people remove the catch tank and the Purge Control Valve. On others, they don't. Keep it or not? If not, cap both ends?

2. I've seen people say to leave one of the nipples on the oil filler neck open. The "A" on all the diagrams. Where does the other end go? Cap it, leave it open or connected? Confused on this one.

3. Following DJSeven advice on post (https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...28&postcount=3) I would end with only the Vacuum line to the BoV, MAP, and FPR. So... in the end, is that all I need to keep?

If any could clear this questions for me, I would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks!

Would I lead you wrong Seriously, you can make it as simple as I have or leave the PCV and the Purge Control connected. The PCVs often fail on these cars causing them to smoke at idle and during decel so I just elect to delete them like Mazda did in 95 and just run one of the nipples on teh oil filler neck over to the primary intake plastic elbow. Unless your car has been modified it should already be connected via the hardline that is attached to the turbo oil feed hardline.

Thanks for the reply's

DJ: I'm just finding it "odd" being "too simple". Just not used to it. :P

I'll need to have a look into that hardline today.
Engine is out of the car. Was just rebuild by rx7store.

Good to have direct questions. Ty both.

Converting to non sequential is pretty much like going single turbo. At least in opperation. So everything required for single turbo is what you would require, obviously not including the single turbo/manifold etc. The pcv could be deleted either way cause it's not part of the turbo control system. Same with a lot of things on the car.

could one of you guys take a picture of how yours is set up? The previous owner of mine went non-sequential and I don't think he did this but I want to make sure. There's a vacuum hose coming off of the oil filler nipple to a valve (N3A1) then to the UIM, then from a smaller nipple next to the inlet nipple theres one coming out going to a green valve then to a solenoid, from the solenoid there's another hose going to what looks like the catch tank. I can take a picture if it would help

well I wouldn't care if I didn't think it was the cause of my idle smoking, it only smokes at idle so if I can remove the PCV and stop the smoking I'll be happy.
