Noisey Rear Hatch

In my 93 3rd gen when ever i hit a hump in the road my rear hatch "squeeks." and after 5 min of semi rough roads i wanna shot myself. Does anyone have any ideas to make it not so loud?
Thanks for your help

I think you can adjust the latch to make it shut tighter. However, you'll have to slam the hatch shut when you do that. Otherwise, some people put a high density foam on the hatch where it mates the quarter panel to cushion the bumps.

Simple fix

OK This has got to be the easiset fix on a fd. All you do is go to your local bicycle shop.Buy "WHITE LIGHTING" it's chain grease ,and just put a little on the hatch struts by the rubber VOILA no more squeek.
