noise from rear lock
For some time I have been looking for the source of a low volume knock (particularly in cold weather). I now conclude that it comes from the lock of the rear hatch.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so what's the fix? A new lock?
Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the latch height?
Pull the plastic cover (carpet edge up first, then work your way from the sides to the center on the top edge) and you will see the latch assembly with two screws holding it in place...try loosening them and then pushing down on the thing...one of them is actually a slotted hole so you can lower it.
It takes a bit more force to close the hatch, but the noise may subside.
