No Heat.. Blower Doesn't Turn On...
Anyone know if there is a fuse I can check? I read somewhere that there may be a fuse or relay on top of the blower... behind the glove box... I found a fuse, but it was labeled A/C... anyone else have this problem? or found a fix for this?
Thanks

I don't know about on the 7, but on my MX-6 the blower was easily accessible. Have you thought about taking it out and making sure it works?
Then flip the switch and grab a voltmeter to see if theres power getting to the end of the wires.
I'm not sure about a fuse for it though.

Hmm, there should be a fuse on the firewall, accessable form the drivers seat that controls the blower, rear wiper, and ABS? I dunno and something else. Cuz this happens to me quite a bit, I took it to my mechanic and he told me to try simply pulling it in and out. And it works! but I'm not sure why its glitching in the first place, if your fuse is not blown. Anwyaysm try it out see if it helps
If you have no blower motor at all (no switch position works), you should look for the blower motor relay. It is way up at the top of the blower motor/heater housing. It has two wires going into it, and the relay is mounted to the heater housing with a rubber outer covering that slides onto a tab that is atached to the heater housing.
Anyway, mine went out last month. Quick and easy fix.

Sorry, I was wrong. There are 4 wires going to the relay: blue with a green stripe, blue with a black stripe, red and black. I don't have pics, sorry. I had to remove the glovebox to get at the sucker, it was all the way up at the top of the heater box. The wiring diagram does show it in section G, but the location is misleading. I don't recall if the manual discusses the relay...
Well, if it's the relay, removing the blower assembly (I assume he means just the basket) will do nothing, as the relay is separate from the assembly. If he means the entire heating/air box, then yeah, you have to drain coolant, disconnect heater hoses, remove the dash, and wrestle that thing out. But this make no sense, as you have an electrical problem, not a mechanical one.
Anyway, crawl under there and look for those wire colors I told you above. If you're REAL clever, you can simply connect the blue/black stripe and the red wires together to make sure this is the problem. Note that you will now be able to run the blower with the car completely off, thus draining your battery if you don't pay attention. Ask me how I know

bottom line is check the rear wiper fuse before trying to pull out the blower relay or other inaccessible components. this applies even if you don't have a rear wiper!
alwan16 - you're my hero.
After trying EVERYTHING... even going as far as replacing the whole A/C section of the wiring harness... what worked? Replacing that damned 10a fuse. Since I have a base model, I didn't even check the wiper fuse.. who knew.
Anyway.. THANKS!
