no engine car + rebuild or car with engine?

I was wondering if any of your guys had some experiance with putting a rebuilt or new motor into an FD? I kinda want to just buy a 93 or 94 with a blown motor and then get a rebuilt one to put in it because it's more suited to my budget. Can someone tell me exactly how much work is involved with putting in a new motor.. like the number of days it will take. it should be a straight swap in, no fancy stuff. I've put in a motor before but it was into my Integra, not reall the same thing.
