i won't blow the motor the wrapping around the tree thing is very possible though. Nitrous was just something i was curious about. My mods are going to follow standard order. rebuilt and ported, intake, exhaust, ecu, greddy elbow, bov,dp,mp,fmic, bigger injectors, fuel pump, boost controller, kit, rims.

By the way, I've already smashed into a curb and blown two motors so I might just be qualified to ask.

I think it can be done, but it will shorten the life of your turbos (stock twins). The wastegate is not going to be able to compensate for the extra exhaust energy. So boost control may become another issue.

You'll also want to invest in a good ignition system if you're going to use N2O.. If you want to try after a while that's cool but it I definately should be done after you got everything out of the motor(hp wise) possible. And definately don't cut any corners. And definately learn more about the car, how the sequential turbo system works, etc so it'll help you diagnose any problems that may arise.

Whiterxseven(sp?) had a thread with some nitrous questions in it in this section, you may want to search for it and dig it up. I think there was some good info on it in there.

I am also interested in this setup. It seems the only way to make over 550HP is with a shot of NOS. Most of the fastest FD's use NOS in addition to a huge turbo.

From doing a little research, one of the best kits in my opinion is the ZEX. It will compensate how much NOS to inject by the fuel pressure etc.... It has a lot of safety features also.

I will wait on this one until I get peak HP from my current setup.

get this...I have also seen cars shoot a 50shot and gain ZERO HP. From what I have seen there is also a lot of tuning involved.

anthony...i spoke with a zex rep at length and he confided in me that if it were him he would go with the nitrous express wet system if it were him. we talked at length about their products and the advantages of the nitrous express system...does zex even make a wet system? compare the two...see what you think. I looked into it a couple years ago and ended up saving the money for the m2 turbos instead. you got a great rep on the boards..I hope you succeed...it will be interesting to see.

I hope mr rxnitrous actually does figure out a way to do it...granted the kid will go thru a couple motors..a few turbos...a handful of injectors...etc..etc...before he figures it all out. hahaha..the learning curve is steep....if he does figure it out then he does everyone a service...

if you go to the lighting and a world of thunder site you will find some links to a site or two with info on some rx7s that run 50-70shots...its been a couple years since i was looking into this...was that ryans rex? I forget...its late.

btw rexwithnitrous..you do run nos..a 50 shot right?? well that car is still a butt *** slow NA second gen with an intake and exhaust and thats it. the real reason you are not running it is because your parking lot show junk would blow up if you did hahaha yawn.....so quit harassing the folks in the third gen forum when you are at least two full years from having a car built that could handle it. do a search dood...there is plenty of info on here...this question pops up every week.

You gotta be kidding..

Call Rotary extreme?? and ask them questions???
IF Ari or Chris ever answers the phone. Maybe.
and maybe even if they are available, They aren't
busy ??? Maybe.. But come on. How often have you
ever called a store/tuner and actually and got a
truthful satisfying answer?? With out the Hardsell???

BTW: my other thread about nitrous. Same as this one.
No real info. Forcedfed7 and Ernie T had some good info. Other than that. the Forum is STUMPED.. With
bunch of anti nitrous campaign.

From the info i gotten so far, is Nitrous Wet system is
better to use, but ZEX system is safer.
From what I gather, Running stock injectors is ok.
Need to retard timing when Nitrous is used.
Nobody shed any light on turbo boost cut issues
regarding use of Nitrous with turbos..

FOR GUYS that Do have NITROUS.
How much Does the NITROUS HELPED???
How much HP increase?
How much time differnce in the 1/4 ET"s???

NO hearsay please.. actually Facts.. thanks..

Thats the "good info" I was refering to(ErnieT's/Forcefed7's) in your other thread. The problem is there is no real solid formula or no major amounts of people coming out to say they've tried it is because only a handful of people have done it, and probably about half of those people visit this forum. Don't forget it's not exactly a mod alot of people consider with the stock twins. And there are different reasons for that. Rob Robinette's site talks about it too I think, but I am not sure how much info on what is needed to run it is there. Hate to say it but you probably wouln't get any help off the forum then what you've already got on this subject. I think if you're serious about it you will have to seek help from a tuner from here on out to get more info/opinions/"facts".

Actually it's Rotary Performance, and I've called them several times and gotten lots of help.

Yes, they can be busy. Would you take advice from a shop that's never busy?

i just like the way people go oh **** you got nossssss i personally didn't feel that big of a difference with a 50-shot i'd much rather spend my money on other things that will give me hp in every gear.

Wouldn't you rather get comments like

"Holy ****, he's got a single turbo and a monster street port and he made 500rwhp at 20 psi!!"

rather then

"Oh wow he's got NAAAAAAAWWSSS!!"

???

The only people who "Oh ****" N2O bottles are people under the age of 17 or people who think Nitrous is "Nitros"..

heh, I just want a baby N2O bottle and a purge through my hood for intimidation purposes. *big grin* Can't stand having civics revving me and flashing 4-ways when I'm not even considering running.

seriously though... I'm considering a 25 shot wet system for somewhere down the road... waaaay down the road. Gotta get the baby running again first.

Funny, but the 100 shot SS's don't give me any problems. It's the frigging 800+ hp Skylines.

I will probably use a small shot of nitrous at the next race. I may just install it for intimidation purposes. I will use ZEX since I have a kit on hand. What I should really do is get a bigger turbo.

Whoa!!! 89 octane??? I'm assuming that's not the US standard method (R+M/2) for determining octane right?
