Nissan GTR32 twins on an FD?
Nissan GTR32 twins on an FD?
Well its been a while but I've finally got the $$ to start looking at going single turbo ( always wanted to join that club).
But I've hit a snag, I know someone selling a set of GTR twins from a 91 r32 dirt cheap, I mean dirt cheap and hey are in excellent condition!!
So now I've managed to distract myself from the sinlge setup and now I have all these fantasies of having these twins setup.
I voiced the idea to a mate of mine who runs his own ( and very successful ) rota workshop and he said " F**k that! cant be bothered with tha hassel, just go single, it will be less problems"!
Is he right? am I simply openeing a can of worms? I know the twins are rated at a max of 450hp on a GTR, thats about all the power I want ( and then some) .
Has anyone heard of GTR twins on an FD?

There's a reason R35 Stock turbos are cheap, the same reason R1/R2 Turbos are cheap, they're made by the factory to give a factory car factory boost, so if you want to upgrade you have to pony up more $$.... and whoever is selling this wants to lessen the burden of the expense of a new turbo... factory skylines aren't that amazing just as factory supra's aren't but they both have a tremedous potential for more HP.... Think about getting to that number (HP wise) that you want to hit and start saving....
Go single, less headaches in the long run. Plus do you know anyone who was able to fit skyline turbos on a FD? I'd imagine manifolds are completely different. You would have to custom make a manifold which is mucho $$. So Just save your self the time, trouble, and $$. Plus I really don't think the performance gains would amount to very much over the stock twins. Factory twin setups are pretty limited power wise hence the logic of upgrading. So what the other guy said is correct. Hes selling them cheap to offset the cost of upgrading probably to a big single turbo.
