nice rx7 drifting video
me and my brother turned our rc cars in to those, a hint if you wanna do it is that you need 4wd or your rears will just spin with the pvc pipes as tires. i tried to convert my 1/12 rc car but it does not go any where.

is there any site explaning these eletric or nitro engines? what the hell is a nitro engine?
i wanna buy a couple of these cars but i'd to know more about them.
also i bought this huge gorilla with a metal frame inside, i want to put wheels in its feet. the original intent of the purchase was so we could blow it up or something. but just think a 3' gorilla drifting!

Nitro refers to the small piston engines which run on a Nitromethanol/ alcohol blend fuel. They are amazing little things that run at 30-35,000 rpm typically for cars.
You can even get a scale model rotary nitro engine...
As for that gorilla.....hmmm.....

Wow...that's pretty freaking sweet. To be able to control a car while INSIDE the car is hard enough, but to be outside and controlling it with the same precision takes a lot of tallent.

I like to consider myself knowledgable about these things, considering I have been driving them for a good 5 years now.
As for engines go the 15fe is a nice engine, but kind of limiting as to power, has .54 hp if I remember correctly. That came on my HPI Super Nitro RS4 and got old and I had to make it faster, then I put a .15 CV on it with a tuned pipe, I think it was about .7 hp and then of course it had to be faster again so now I have a Fantom .15 that puts out 1.3hp with a Ofna tuned pipe. Way damn fast, don't recomend it to someone who hasn't driven these things before. All I know is that I won't be buying another more powerful engine.
I tried making mine a drift car once a while back by just taking the fwd out of the car and making rwd only, but it has way to much power and just spins around all the time. You have to have the fwd with tires to pull you out of slides.

Wow, this takes me back. I have an Ofna TempoII AWD buggy loaded with .21 sitting in a box in the garage. I haven't pulled it out in like 8 years.
The thought of using PVC pipe tires never occured to me though.
Much better than drifting an actual FD!
