True. I've got a video somewhere of one of the C5-R Corvettes "attempting" a quarter mile pass. Massive tire spin in 1st and 2nd gear and a 13.x elapsed time... with a high 13x mph trap speed. There are very few cars on this forum that could outrun a C5-R once it was in motion. You can't base a car's performance solely on elapsed time.

Well, it's definately not the N1 and I've seen the rear accomodated with C-Westin' Type 2 front fascia w/ sides. Thus, I assumed the entire kit was "Type 2" including the rear given that the front fascia WAS sold as "Type 2."

Edit: This assumption was made according to the site that supplied the kit and not on this specific car in this thread.

I wasn't doubting you. In fact, I was just supporting your assertion that it IS indeed a C-west rear.

Was that a Ford 8.8 or 9" rear axel in those pics? I had no idea he had that in there, and don't understand why he would do that, there goes a lot of his handling.

Oh, sorry if it sounded as if I thought you were doubting me. I was just adding my 2 cents.

8.8

He had no intentions of using the car for anything other than straight line. It's not like he's the only person to ruin the handling characteristics of the FD.. Look at all the tubbed out, tube framed ones.. Hell, look at all the people that just "own" them. I bet 1/3 of the owners even have a clue how the car actually handles.. let alone how to drive one - even mildly using the cars handling abilities to any extent..

Not my cup of tea either, but I think it's pretty obvious the car goes straight.. And that's about it.

Might sound like I defend this guy alot.. I'm not. I'm defending the CAR. It's still a hell of a machine either way, and it seems to be the talk of the forum every time he posts.

Just more of his periodic trolling for attention. He probably cruises the local high schools, too.
