Next step? Fuel. Vaccum lines?
I'm leaking fuel. It's dripping on the ground. I started to look around to try and find out where it was coming from. I was guesing the fuel pulsation dampener based on what I have read. I got started by taking the throttle body and upper intake manifold off. I then ran into the infamous vacuum line problem. They are so brittle and will break by barely touching them. It also looks like a couple of plastic nipples have broken. Does anyone sell a kit for the vacuum lines. Any really good pics or diagrams out there other than the FSM? Mine is on order. I don't have it yet. Should I upgrade my fuel rails / injectors now since I'll have all this apart? Any other Idea's on where the fuel is coming from, or where I should go from here? I didn't want to go any further until I boght the broken nipples or had new vacuum lines.
I included a pic of the broken nipple. What are those anyway?

Broken solenoid (I think). Go here for the info on replacing the lines:

It's a beat job but it must be done. I outsourced the vac line job to a RX-7 shop because if there were broken or malfunctioning solenoids, I don't have the tools to diagnose. I'm glad I did too - there were two that needed to be replaced. Had I just done the vac lines and put the manifold back on, I would have still had undetectable boost probs.
This site is your friend too:

Good luck.

That is the switching solenoid with the nipple broken, the end that is broken eventually connects to the firewall side of the uim. You have a vacuum leak because of that. You probably could just plug the back of the uim. I believe you can operate without the switching valve although this might affect your emissions, the other side of the solenoid goes to the ACV.
Search for the BIG sequential vacuum diagram, it is color coded and fairly easy to follow.
