u really should search this up, since the "newbie" FD owning posts have been done thru pretty thoroughly. also u need to give a lil more info. 93, 80k...is it an R1? R2? touring? is there any mods done to it? is it bone stock, reman motor? anything? your near 80k, so i'd say u probably wanna check the turbo's themselves cuz if your car is bone stock, with that precat and just running hard/age the turbo housings may be cracked. uh, all your vac lines will probably need to be switched for silicons (this is a LONG job btw) uh, if its a touring model, u might want to invest in looking for a 2nd oil cooler like the R1 does. make sure your ast isn't cracked, and if it is or isn't, replace it. replace the precat with a downpipe to get rid of some heat. u can get an intake for your car, or just do the ghetto mod to the stock one (which is a really good idea) u'll run a lil cooler. uh, a catback wouldn't hurt, but don't rip off the cat though if your runnin stock turbo's or u'll boost creep. hmmm, boost gauge and maybe a simple ecu upgrade would be also recommended with those mods....well off the top of my head thats what i can think of. just search though about FD's, theres a wealth load of info about them.

Read it and all references to "advice" "reviews" "buyer's guide", etc. This is not a car to be bought casually, unless you have a lot of casual cash.

whats up, indeed like the others say the FAQs are your friend and they do not respond harshly when you ask questions lol it is best you review what you can and also look at this thread ive pasted at the bottom. check out the post by jim lab hes got a very informative write-up that has saved me LOTS of trouble. it will be quite valuable for you and your car. goodluck!

omg, you need to bring a rotorhead along with you so you dont get your **** freaked! the last thing you want is to buy the car and find out you have a coolant leak or a chipped apex seal and the owner says that it is normal; you just dont know. take someone along who knows rotaries or read the FAQ's inside and out so you know the "rules". the cheapest part about these cars is buying them. making them last is where the magic comes into play.
if you do buy this car, make sure you drop in a downpipe, a new air separator tank and change out all the consumables/ fluids.

Welcome to the club!
DEFINITELY have someone familiar with rotary engines check it out. There is a lot that can go wrong with these cars, and its usually expensive to fix.
