Newbie thread might be blasphemy within

Hello all,

First let me say I currently own a 99 Z28 Camaro but I respect all cars that are fast and certainly the Rx7 falls into this category. I'm STRONGLY considering purchasing a 3rd gen RX7 with the hopes of dropping an ls1 in it. Curious at about what mileage I can expect the motor to give up. I mean this in all do respect. I'm thinking about trading in my Z for an RX7 with medium mileage and drive it while saving for the conversion costs--is there an average that I can expect the motor to last? Any buying tips? What to look for etc.

Thanks in advance.

V8 is a juice, not an engine option.

Lots of info. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...threadid=68640

As for how long your engine will last it's all how you treat your car, how your car was treated before you and some may say a certain percentage of luck...
