Newb and need some help.

Well this is gonna be difficult to explain but ill do my best. im doin this for a buddy of mine.

ok here goes nothing.

my Buddy and his 93 rx7 twin turbo are having some issues.
how it started was when he was driving along one day and i think he had it WOT.
driving along and double clutched it in 3rd gear and then it fish tailed a little bit then the car died. ( im sorry that is what i remember of his story).

symptoms.
1. car has funny idle
2. doesnt accelerate like it used to. (he said he would floor it and it would just putt along like your taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear)
3. backfires more then it ever did. i dont remember it backfiring at all before.
4. did the diagnosis and got 12-full range throtte sensor,13-pressure sensor, and 18-narrow range sensor error codes. and honestly i dunno how to check or fix these sensor.

well im sorry if this info is useless but im just trying to help out a friend of mine.

if you need more info i can try to help you guys out as much as possible.

** oh and one more thing is that we were told that it could be the apex seal too and to find out if it was we were told to turn on the car and turn on the a/c and that if it were the apex seal the car would turn off. we did this and the car turned off.

well i apoligize for the info if it is too less.

but thanks in advance for any help u guys can give us. thanks

You should check the map sensor, make sure the vac hose is on. Funny idle/bad acceleration could be due to vacuum leak from ic piping or vac hoses. Does he get boost?

I believe the full range/narror range sensor relates to the TPS. He should do a search on here how to adjust it. Rob robinette's site wil have information on this. fd3s.net (I believe)

Possibly. I think the other things I listed are more likely culprits. What is the idle range and how far does it drop when you turn the a/c on?
