New Turbo Control Valves = Bliss
My '93 R1 would not boost properly if you got into it above 3/4k. It was like you had to floor it from low revs in order to get the first turbo fully spooled in order to get the second one online. Also first gear would almost never build up boost properly.
Someone on here showed me the thread where someone else had this problem. I got two new TCV's as recommended and the car is entirely transformed. Boost super hard in first, and now I can get on it anywhere and she'll boost flawlessly. Also the transition between turbos can barely be felt - incredible!
Just though I would share. I wish I had tried this with my first Rx7, which I ended up selling because of boost-related frustration.

Ah I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know yet...
I just dropped 21k on the car and it wasn't working and I was convinced this was the issue so I just told my mechanic to get them. I know that they can pass the standard test procedure and still be bad so I didn't want to risk it.
I already picked the car up be he's always slow to write everything up and bill me. I'll find out on Friday when I go in to get my column mount boost gauge installed and post back.
