new track video from Laguna Seca - part 2

I uploaded another video from my trip to cali, running on Legua Seca, its a full lap with all three cam views at once and a small map showing where you are on the track. The rotor in teh middle tells you what way you are facing.

enjoy :-)

heheh thanks cowsniperRX7 :-)

I got some help getting the shots, Fabian (previous owner of the car) was driving for most of the footage (I only got the rear angle shot) and he and the rest of the track cats over in Los Gatos where very cool.

or try right clicking on it and do 'save as' to your hard drive and see if it gets it all, it should be about 11-12 meg

Nice video! And the rotor turning with the car was a nifty idea. But what is the small bump on the hatch?

Damian,
Congrats on your new car. It looks very well setup and fast. I guess you were using only one camera at a time on three different laps? I can see that some of the turns have different turn in and apex compared to other angles. Although Fabien was very consistent in each lap....

bump on the hatch? are you talking about the small pod shapes, they cover the stock wing mounting holes I believe

Gotta add: its awesome seeing a real FD on that track cus I know it so well from GT3. I think I'm gonna time your lap and try to beat it with my FD in GT3.

Thanks Brian :-)

>>incredible quality But, is it possible to hear the sound of your new beast ? :P

yes WanKeL FD RX-7, eventually you will, and it is a loud beast, ... I didn not bring my sound equipment to cali when i went to see the car, and the only sound you hear in these shots is wind since the cam is mounted outside.

>>I guess you were using only one camera at a time on three different laps? I can see that some of the turns have different turn in and apex compared to other angles. Although Fabien was very consistent in each lap....

yeah pluto, ur right, and I drove the rear view angle, so any inconsistency was probably me :-) I was a newbie on the track. I would have loved to bring all the equipment up and do a real crazy vid but I had not even planned on doing this stuff, it was an after thought, checking out teh car was priority

>>Damian thats just awesome. I love the video, it's really cool having 3 camera angles and the track thing all up there at once. Congrats on the car, enjoy it!

thanks 911gt2 :-) I hope to make some more 'advanced' videos next rack season when I can use all my equipment and can get engine sound/more graphics on screen, et,et.....its all about time though, client work pays for the goodies so this stuff obviously takes a backseat....but its dam fun!!! :-)

actually, those laps are slow, like 7/10ths cuz the cam mounted caution, if you want a time use fabians lap time with that car on that track, 1:45:74 :-)

Fantastic job, Damian!

What kind of tires on the track car? Are they the same used by Fabian when he did the :45?

I've done tons of laps at Laguna, but the vast majority of them are on two wheels, not four.

Great Video (as always)

Now if you could just fire off some rounds from that Desert Eagle 50 WHILE your driving around THAT would be killer!

Thanks for taking the time to create and share this art
