Arrow New toi the community...a few pics of my FD

Hi guys. I'm new to the RX-7 scene. Been a board member for quite a while but mostly to do research on the enemy. I picked up this 5 speed 94 touring model in Chicago last month with 40k mile for $18k. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

The wheels are Sparco NS6's. 18 x 8.5 +42 up front with 245/35/18's and 18 x 10.5 +35's in the back with 295/30/18's. I was hoping they would tuck in the back a little more than they did but I'm getting used to the look. It's a definitely extreme and aggressive...one of those hate it or like it things...nothing in between. I have a few odds and ends to fix on the car and ALOT of parts sitting in my kitchen waiting to go in. I'm shooting for 338 RWHP with stock sequential twins and pushing the stock fuel pretty hard. The other goal is to keep this thing cool when it hits 108F outside and I have the A/C blastin. :p Thanks to all of the tech you guys have on the site I think I've got a good mod list put together. See you guys around the board!

WOOOOOW, looks mint,,, congrats and good luck with it... enjoy.

I'm a big fan of 5 spoke wheels but those look very nice, I don't think i saw those kind of wheels on a FD before, also as suggestet above, roll up the fenders and lover it a little for that great mean look...

Once again, good luck.

Those rims look great. I would have purchased the same but I got a great deal on some Racing Harts.

Welcome.
Congrats.
Best of luck.

Definitely lower it and pull the rear fenders out a little. Looking good so far though.

Looks great! This forum is a gold mine of info. You came to the right place. Got mine last year February, best car buying day so far in my life! (means a lot as I'm almost as old as silverbullet) Now if I only had a gold mine to pay for all the upgrades....

Thanks everybody!

Springs are on the way. Well actually they're backordered. I went with RS*R race springs. Only a 0.4" drop but a crazy high spring rate. Right now it rubs when I hit large bumps with two people in the car so hopefully they'll help minimize that.

TwinTurbo93, Yeah...I wanted to try something new with the wheels so I figured I'd do the math and get a set no one else had tried.

RE Suzuki, Money Pit? I'm no stranger to that. The Stealth in my sig didn't go mid-11's without some quite expensive coaxing!

a2zpcwiz, I've got an R1 wing sitting in the kitchen. Wingless just doesn't do it for me...sorry!

Tevor,

Nice FD, I got to see it at J-rat's house on new years eve. Those rear wheels are wide! I had 275-40-17 tires on some old Mazdaspeed wheels and the tires rubbed the hell out of my rear fenders. I went to Photo Finish and they trimed the fenders for me...no more rubing. Congrats on the purchase and I look forward to exchanging FD stories with you and the other Guys.

Seems to me you should be just buying the correct setup for wheels rather than trying to band-aid the problem with high spring rates. Congrats on your purchase.

It's about time you purchases a real sports car NEWB! Had enough of that fat bitch you've been messing with for the past several years?

Yep...knew that was comin!

I'm not stopping with the Stealth though. Hopefully I'll get the new turbos and fuel set up right in the next month so I can break my personal record.
