New to the Rx7 world - Fuel Managements

Hi rx7 fans out there, I have a question regarding the fuel management on the 7. Is there a way, (i've heard that installing a chip) will lower the gas fuel usage. Please leave comments, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

^^^^yeah good one!!

Honestly, i dont think so man, usually "chips" add fuel, retard timing, for more HP not to use less gas.

It's called the "Right Foot" mod. If you are expecting the power and the gas mileage of a C5 Vette, that's just really not going to happen. With a programmable ECU, you can probably tune the car for better gas mileage along with controlling the right foot.

However, if all you are concerned about is gas mileage, look for a different car.

The Apexi Power FC with an attached Datalogit w/ laptop will allow you to tune the engine probably the easiest for improved gas mileage. Do a search in the "engine management" area of the forum. As Mahjik say's, the only way to make efficient gas mileage is to keep your foot out of it, this is the best advice. The words "good gas mileage" and "RX7" don't run hand in hand. Buy a Honda for gas mileage, buy an FD for fun.
