NEw RX7 owner need a little advice!!!

Hello, 2 months ago i drove to northern va to peter farrell toy store to pick up my 1994 RX7. It is a one owner(female late 40's) car with78k on it. Peter farrell said the motor trans just about the whole car was gone thru and he couldn't even believe the condition it was in. I paid 13,900 for it and seeing what is out there i hope i got a good deal. Most of the people on this site seem to say nothing but good things about farrells products so i hope this is no different. The car is white 5spd touring pkg and completly stock, except for the different hoses farrell put on the motor. Just was wondering if u guys think i got a good deal and what mods (not looking to blow the doors off it) you could recommend. Im just greatful i finally got my dreamcar, 10 yrs of waiting finally paid off thanx in advace Corey

Yep, sounds like a fair price (less than you would pay out here...).

Please do a search and go through the newbie sticky. You can search here for "reliability mods". Also, just spend time on the forum to get a feel for what kind of mods people have.

congrats on the new FD. The sticky is a great place to learn about your new car. So, you got any pics you can upload?

Full Tuneup (I say again, *full tuneup*), Downpipe, AST, boost gauge, and water temp gauge. Oh, and make sure you have good tires on her .

seems like a good price if the motor is good. have a compression test done and then go on with some tune up and reliability mods. compression test should tell you how healthy the motor really is. its rare to see an original motor do that kind of mileage, but it is possible.

oh and check out www.kdrotary.com in pa

good luck.
