New to the RX-7 world......

I have been a fan of these FD cars for a while now, and as it turns out I might be able to get one in the near future. Of course before I buy one I want to go through and make sure it's not going to grenade on me before I even get it back to the shop. What should I look out for on these cars? What are common problems, and what problems should I avoid when buying one? My last project was a Nissan 300ZX Z32 and my current prep car is a Datsun 240Z, so I don't have a lot of rotary experiance and need advice.

Thanks,
Casper

Welcome to the forum!

Now, that I've got that friendly introduction out of the way, do you think that, just maybe, someone has asked this question before? Please follow the links in the newbie sticky/FAQ. And learn to use the search function if it's a common type question. This cuts down on extraneous threads and it cuts down on aggravating "old-timers".

Congrats!
When you get one post a few pics so we all can see
All I have to say is BEFORE you install a mod read stickies and ask these "old timers"!!!
The wrong choice may cause you to pop the motor

p.s. This isn't a civic so no rice!

Just in case you can't find it... You can spend quite a bit of time on this thread alone. There should even be a buyers guide in there too. And what you can't find in that thread can most likely be found via using the search field in the 3rd gen section if that's the car you finally end up with.
