New Rx-7

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and basically any type of rotary engine. Last week a guy came by the body shop saying he wanted to sell his rx-7 as is or get it fixed then sell it. Of course it needed work done to about 50% of the car's exterior. Its mostly hail damage besides the rock chips on the front fascia. I took down his information and here's what I gathered: Its a non-sequential twin turbo, 110,000 miles, tan leather seats, new apex seals, new tires about 200 miles ago and it's red. He says its basically stock, just a pop charger and a few dress up items in the bay. He told me that he wants $4000 out of it. Since I have not a clue whats going on, what's some things to look for that the Rx-7 is notorious for. I don't really want to pass on a deal, so any help is appreciated.

Do a compression test on the engine, you would be surprised at how many fresh engines are total garbage. Pop charger, I'm going to assume you mean it has a blow off valve. $4000 is more than fair regardless of the engine condition.
