Haven't changed the 4 cells for the cranking timing. I told them the cells and values for the IGT and IGL tabs. If they do not test it, I will go ahead and do it myself this evening.

My cranking timing cells are at 25 and 0 split, it helps with start ups for my car. I've been doing lots of testing with this and other things to improve idle.

So a mix of good and bad news

Bad news is that the fuel pressure gauge is not taking a reading. They tested to make sure all/any wiring didn't come lose. And then made sure it wasn't the sensor, by switching the oil pressure sensor to see if it would take a reading since they are the same and the fuel pressure gauge didn't have any readings.

Good news is that the compression on the engine is fine.

I guess I rather pay for another $100 something gauge than a new engine rebuild lol.

He is working on the cranking timing and will get back to me tomorrow.

Thought about this and called him first thing in the morning to come pick it up so I don't get charged but he already had the car done. He didn't charge me for this though so I was happy about it.

As far as the results, he said compression was good at the time he took it, between 6.5-6.8.

He added only 5 timing to the L and T of the ignition map and when I went to start it to leave the shop it started up right away. We will see when I try to do some hot starts.

He said that the spark plugs are also leading to the cause of a possible hot start as they are pretty carbonized. I already have brand new (and upgraded) spark plugs (the car is currently running stock plugs) but I wanted to use these for when the motor is broken in and about to go off to get a tune.

He also asked me about my fuel mapping and I said that it's pretty rich all over to make sure I don't go lean for any reason which could also cause the problem of a hard start.

In conclusion, I'm going to wait to see how the car performs after my tune. Steve Kan is coming in January, so hopefully I'll have enough miles on the car to get that done.
