I have a set of Type-A Sprit-R BBSs and have put them next to a set of my friend's DBK black diamond RG-Rs and they are indeed a different color, although they look almost the same in pictures for some reason. The DBK is painted a solid 'gunmetal', although they really look pretty dark.. The Spirit R BBSs are actually painted with two colors with a brighter metcallic satin finish on the front, and with the inner parts of the spokes sprayed black from the back side to give the look of darkness from certain angles. The centercaps pop right off and should fit an RG-R, but the Flying M will be a lighter color than the DBK. I analysed that way too much LOL.

I'm sure if the center caps on the BBS just pop off, but if they do then I can see fitting a Mazda cap there.

I got them from Japan (had a friend find them) about two years ago for 170,000 or so yen. It was the shipping and transaction costs that hurt me the most bringing them over. They seem to be a lot harder to find now though on yahoo auctions. The RG-Rs look awesome, and I think 18 inch RG-Rs would be the best size (ptrhahn has a set), but for some reason the spokes on the RG-Rs just seem slightly different than the Spirit-R spokes..I can't explain it really..so I'll try and look for some pics for comparison.

Yea ptrhahn def. has 'em, I saw them in person, and OMG, I must say, one of the most GORGEOUS wheels I've ever seen. Ever. Really lol. I'm real picky, but in person, these things were amazing. The finish was VERY high quality, and the spokes are a bit diff Aristo..I know what you're talking about, but can't describe it either. IIRC, they're only 19 lbs too!

Scott, now you're just full of it lol. Offset, yea I'll give you that. I dunno anyone who makes wheels in a 50 offset. But the RG-R's come in 7.5s (eww), 9s, and 10s... the stockers are prob only 8s or 8.5s!

I'm pretty sure they're in the $2,500 range for a set. I wouldn't mind having them on my car.
