Smile new performance mod?(relocate BOV)

I was checking out the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO8 recently and was a little suprised when I looked under the hood. I am specifically talking about where the BOV vented, almost right back into the turbo! Typically the BOV vents into the air filter, but this is no typical car. I believe this makes it loose less boost when you shift or let off of the throttle. If you think about it, it makes sense, "holding" the boost and keeping the turbo spooling rather than venting and having to build it back up.

I am thinking the only draw back may be heat.

I think this has potential and I will give it a shot on my car soon. I have a boost gauge and digital therometer, so I will try to collect some data before and after.

Do you think this might be a good mod for the FD?
Any questions or comments?
Has anyone done this before?

alot of cars vent the pressure back into the airstream. stock fds vent back into the airbox. so um whats the difference? stock gsx's vent into the airbox, stock wrx's vent into the airstream. the real reason noone vents back into the airstream is for the sound it makes, and less tubing for less complications.

FD can vent to the atmosphere since we use a MAP sensor. If you've got a car with any kind of airflow metering, you need to vent back into the intake system.

For an ideal setup, its prefered to have your BOV closer to the throttle body and not the turbo.
