new motor

We just installed a new rebuilt motor in my 95 rx7... It barely starts and when it does it dumps a huge cloud of white smoke out the tail pipe... I'm so lost on what to even try and fix. It has a power FC resest to stock settings, street port and polish, full exhaust, intake, and I replaced all the vacuum lines. When we got it started it also backfired alot.

We tried hooking the stock ECU back up and it barely started as well but when idleing it ran alot richer and dumped way more exhaust out...

Anyone that has ever installed a new motor.. please give me some input on this.... Thanks!

Street Port stock settings.

Also white cloud = coolant in fuel.
Check your coolant lines,

Who knows maybe even ur AST is gone. How many clicks do you have on the other parts, eg wiring harness, all electrical systems, plugs, wires, alt, battery, starter you know.

As Kevin Landers posted awhile back een if you change an old engine but all your other components have 100k miles then you shouldnt ask to many questions.
