Exclamation New intake setup - help

Hey,

after storing my car for the winter, i have a R1 JDM twin OEM setup. It hgad Apex'i intakes on it only. Since storing it changed the intakes to HKS RS and added a blitz BOV that was bolt on.

So after replacing them and starting the car, ive realized it had a bit of an issue to idle but i guess thats normal since i disc. the air pump and the car wasnt run for a long time. After letting it warm up to operating temp i went for a stroll and realized that it feels as if the car is lacking power, the repsonse when i got to WOT is not the same, seem of rev up deminished by 35-40% i would say,.... when i drove on a straight and tried again, same thing happened on my Greddy Profec B Spec II manual bnoost controller i say that the vacumm was 99 and when it went into boost it didnt go ver 7psi which was normal, but it didnt feel as if the power was there......

it didnt feel as if the clutch was slipping..... im out of ideas and almost want to replace the air intake and try on original setup...

Someone told me i might have to compelte a drive cycle for my PCM to be calibrated on my new setup, if thats the case anyone know what one drive cycle is??? or computer "re-learning"///

Or any other suggestion???

help...

What ECU do you have? What other mods?

Changing the intake should not have changed anything power wise. If you have a stock ECU and remove or unplug the airpump, the car will idle rough and be rough on/off throttle. At full power it should be the same.

Honestly this is the first MOD im doing on the car, i got it last year from Japan, to what i know these are the mods on the car

3" catback
Apex"i intakes

i installed a Greddy EBC but it was setup before i put the car away in storage and didnt have any issues driving with it in the summer....

I mean simply enought, right before i put it away for winter it was running fine. Now that ive started it after 6 months, the is off....

Only mod i did between then and now is the new install of the HKS RS intakes, i made sure all pipes and hose were properly connected and whatnot, but yet.... the power loss for me is unknown......

I did remove the battery in winter and someone told me that i might have to complete a drive cycle to re-calibrate my PCM but im not too familiar with that, any other ideas???
