Hood looks nice, but as the others have said, get it painted. And match that bumper.

if you pay for the c/f dont paint it instead just buy the fiber glass models of them save the money !! lets be honest here carbon fiber hoods are just fiberglass with carbonfiber overlay it not 100% carbon fiber so why the hell would you pay more for something you are going to paint?

The unpainted hood fad seems just like the pimp thing years back with gold crowns on the front teeth because they wanted everyone to see it was really gold instead of natural looking dental work hiding it. If you think everyone needs to see that there's a layer of carbon weave on your fiberglass hood more rice to you.

And you guys do realize he said he said hes gonna repaint his car..so hes not gonna try to match it to its existing color. So it would be a waste of money to paint it now ...

I know exactly what mod you're talking about, but..... I don't have it done. That's just how my bumper sits.

It isn't, I just started the car and it was freezing out! You don't get many cold days in Hawaii

Yeah I'll be repainting it somewhere in the near future, and getting a 99+ front end.

I know it was cold , I read the post. I was just being a smartass cause you specifically made a point of stating the smoke was from the cold. MOST of the people on this board do NOT read the posts they just look at the pics. And i was REally suprised that noone had still said your engine was gone.( cause a ton of the monkeys that post would still bet there life on a blown engne after you explained the smoke) Soo just having some fun I know it isn't blown.

And actually we have about 6 feet of snow on the top of Mauna Kea rite now. So it DOES get cold out here,.. you just have to go to 13k feet above sea level

I know that I've been to Hawaii twice and last time I was there for three weeks, one of those I spent in Kona. Got to see the Volcano and did some fishing. I look forward to going back.

My car is full of "old school" parts It's the first generation style Greddy 2 row. It was later changed to the current one that you actually have to remove the front bumper to install. The new ones aren't as tall as this one but they make up for it width wise.

Hey Matty, I know exactly where you're coming from. I used to feel the same way. I guess the carbonfiber "look" grew on me since then.

even on a black one? I had a cf hood on my acura that was black and it looked sweet. I do think cf on any other color other than black is too contrasting in color and does not look right, at that point same body color is the way to go. cf and black looks awesome. who here got black with cf. show us.

Vented hoods make sense with observed underhood temps. I had my raw fiberglass hood finished and painted with the rest of the car. It looks great. The hood pins interrupt the smooth lines of the FD, I'm working on a solution.

After parking I notice heat radiating thru the vents. Heat rises and cool down times will improve. Less heat better metal fatigue reduction.

Looks like your bumper was poorly color matched to the rest of the car, not to mention all the paint that was sprayed on that oil cooler.

Other then that car looks good.
