I've got an HKS intake on my FD and the filters are gettin dirty-can i buy a solution to clean them or can i just buy new filters? i know this isn't the best intake out there and i plan on replacing it sometime but for now i'll just deal with what i got and keep the filters clean.
so lemme know what i can do.
Thanx,
zach

Just buy some new filters and work in some K&N oil through them before installing.

Or if they're not that worn, you can just re-oil the existing ones. that would be the cheap way out, or you could consider buying the new hks racing suction intakes.

DO NOT CLEAN the HKS filters. They are disposable and not mean to be cleaned. You need to to buy new ones. I believe they are like $30 from the HKS site.

You can get them cheaper through stores. Call Jason at the RX-7 Store or visit a local ricer shop, they'll be able to order them. They should be around $6-10 a piece. I purchase about 4 pairs of them for around $55 through a local rice shop.

I'm glad Local ricer shops can be good for something for FD owners.

They are ok as long as you take care of the filters.

That's about it, besides hiking up prices on rims.
