New here a few Questions

Well what can I say im new here and RX-7 IMO has always been one of the most beautiful car ever made with smooth body lines like no other And finally I have decided to get one. Right now im looking for a used one. Im looking at the 94 cuz in 93 they didnt offer a sunroof. And also hopefully I can get a R1 Edition but I just wanted to run this by you guys so you ppl who actually have the car can give me a few pointers on choosing one out like with the mileages and what not that i should expect and maybe a specific year.

Another question is what are some of the simple mods that I can do when i get the car? and what are the gains that i might be seeing from these mods?

People have told me that the RX-7 Rotary tends to be well Tempermental :o at time i was just wondering if that is true and that the car is hard to maintain. But honestly even if it is it will not deter me from gettting the RX-7 But i kinda just wanna know all this lil infos here and there for my future weekend warrior

Any Info is appreciated Thanks in advanced

Jeff

P.S I have a vast knowledge in sound systems so anybody have a question thats where I can help you out.

All I can tell you is that a sunroof was offered in every year on the touring and pep models, but not the R1 or R2 editions. The interior plastic on the 93 supposedly peels.

The motors aren't hard to maintain, just require alot of maintenaince if you want them to last.

Jeff

all fd's have the same drive line stock, differences are the springs, shocks, seating surfaces, spoilers, front stb...1 0r 2 oil coolers, and the weight, rear wiper....but the heart of the car is the same, base touring, or r1-2...

a well tuned and mantined rotary will be as reliable as you treat it....u beat on it and dont mantain it it will last nothing compared to a well mantained block...i got 92k outa mine..and it was just a coolant seal..my sis's gtu has 160k, but i know its strugglin but it runs faster thna honduhas
