New to FD's, headlight question

I have read through and many other posts, I have searched, yet I still haven't found my answer. So sorry for being a newb. Anyways, I am considering buying an FD to do an engine swap with. I love the looks of the RX7 and compared to the supra, you can't beat the weight. I have read nothing but good things lately as I've been trying to learn as much as possible.

Now, I have noticed that many cars have a foglight/turn indicator kit (see pic below). I am assuming this is aftermarket. If so, who makes the kit? I have seen CWest kits that have them incorporated, but does everything you need come with the kit? Thanks, and I look forward to learning much more about 7's.

those lights are commonly known as the '99 spec lights. they came on all FD's produced after 1999. You can get a full '99 spec front end from numerous places, and the vast majority of aftermarket front ends use the '99 spec turn signals

Those are the OEM turn signals from the '99 and newer model RX-7s, which were sold in Japan and Australia only. The bumper on that car is an aftermarket one, designed to fit the '99-01 RX-7s.

A lot of people refer to them as '99 spec. You'll probably need a '99 spec bumper (whether OEM or aftermarket) to make them fit, unless you know a good bodyshop and are willing to cut apart your factory bumper.

Good luck,

Thanks. How hard is the install on these? Does an switch have to be added to control the lights? I tried a search but the word "99" is too short.

No, you can either splice them into the existing wiring, or buy a harness from rotary extreme, rx7store, or any other rotary shop.

To run the 99 spec turn signals, you will have to modify your current rebar, or get the 99 spec one. Modding your stock one is MUCH cheaper.
