David,
Congrats on your purchase. Just make sure your trip to the dealer for your oil change was your last! First and formost rule with your 7 will be don't ever go to the dealer for anything. You'll more than likely come out with more problems than when you went in. Congrats and enjoy. BTW, if your somewhat mechanical, you may want to tackle a tie wrap job. It may fix your boost stumble. Also replace your selanoids (spelling?). Two main reasons you'll get a boost giggle with stock twins. If you want to keep it relatively stock, just do the tie wrap, replace your radiator, install an AST or just delete it all togeather, and upgrade your grounds for the car. Good luck and enjoy!

The whole point of going the southern route was to avoid snow. We got caught at night though and it was a bit tense for about 30 miles. The rest of the trip was great other than lots of rain in Oregon and Washington.

I might be interested in the AST. I am going to have to wait a little before doing it though.

Thanks for the advice. The only reason we went to the dealer for the oil change was that it was the only place I could find on short notice that would even know where to find the dipstick on the Rx7. I was calling dealers on my cell while driving, trying to find one that would get me in that afternoon. Funny, but regardless of how booked they said they were for oil changes, as soon as I mentioned that it was for a '94 Rx7, they suddenly found time to squeeze me in.

I have gotten a referral from Atkins for a good shop near me. I'm going to start there and then see how much I want to tackle myself.

Stupid question #47, What is a "tie wrap job".

Replacing all 84 rubber rotted vacume lines under the Upper Intake Manifold with new silicone hoses with "tie wraps or zip ties" The ones that go to your stock turbo's rot out too. If just one of thes stupid lines come off, your can run like crap and you'll think its something major, but its not.

Ha, that's for sure... I got rid of my old Eclipse back when and bought the most stock FD I could find, with plans to keep it stock and "reliable". When I noticed there were people in my area with cars faster than mine... things changed
