new engine won't start
I finished putting in my engine Saturday afternoon. Filled her up with coolant, oil and gas and spun her over and nothing.
I am getting spark but no gas is going into the chambers.
I had my injectors cleaned and balanced and the gas is making the rounds. The injectors are plugged in and I have taken the plenum back off to make sure my fuel hoses are hooked up correctly, which they are( hose from fuel filter going to the pulsation damper, through the primaries, up to the secondaries, through the press regulator, and then back to the gas tank).
My only guess is the fuel pump. My first attempt to crank the car was to pull the egi fuse and prime the system. At that time I could not hear the fuel pump pumping. I jumped the ground and the F/P pins in the diagnoisis box and switched the key on and still did not hear it. My fuel pump relay pulls itself together but didn't notice how long it was before it let go. Fuel does come out of the fuel filter hose in the engine compartment which indicates the fuel pump is getting fuel up there but it isn' that much pressure. It's like a water hose on low as opposed to a sprayer hose.
What do you guys think?
Also, how can I check my Oil Metering Pump to see if it is working because I have doubts about it?
Thanks...Scott

YOUR RIGHT..GAS SHOULD SPRAY OUT pretty quickly as you crank the engine..Even if you are having a FUEL FILTER problem the car should still get enough gas to start unless it is completely clogged...If NO GAS..comes out the FUEL FILTER is the next obvious thing to replace.

In talking with Dave at KD today, it's possible my injectors are stuck. I had them sent ou to get cleaned and balanced, but because of the time that they have sat, they could be stuck from the cleaning solution. This means they need to get re-cleaned
Next problem could be a wiring issue. If no trailing spark..no power to the injectors.
