New diagnostic display tool from Japan?

Well, I found something very interesting on the web. It's a data display that displays diagnostics on the FD. It's not for reprogramming anything, but it's definitely a good investment. I'm still trying to figure out what years it works for since it's from Japan. It's called the Techtom MDM-100. You can add-on a login device or even a warning light that you can use either for shifting or to tell you when a set temperature or other variable has been reached. I'll attach a pic of the variable that it monitors. Notice it does both km/h and mph, it also does both oC and oF!!! Very nice!

I think that thing has been around for a while. I remember seeing it in SCC a few years ago...

really?! I've seen one like it that replaces the dash and has a speedometre, but I've never seen this one. You're probably right though, just never heard of anyone using it...?

A little google search turns up http://www.technosquareinc.com/techtom.htm
Price is 345. Not to bad a price considering how it appears to monitor almost all the signals to and from the CPU.
Here's the list http://www.technosquareinc.com/mdmmaz.htm
I wonder how well it fits in one of din spaces.

The Alarm unit (AL-100)is an extra $75. It lights an LED and sounds a buzzer when 1 parameter is out of range. Apparently, The data-logger is not available.

That little unit is pretty cool, if I didn't have a PFC commander I would get one of those for sure.. better than having 10 gauges all over the place.
