New Clutch

I tried using the search, but it was bringing up all sorts of unrelated stuff.

Any recommendations as to where I can buy a good clutch for a good price? I don't really do any racing, but I do hot-rod it once in a while. I'm getting ready to rebuild my tranny due to 5th gear syncro and figured I might as well replace the clutch also. I have some mods on the car so I want a clutch that will hold up.

Thanks in advance.

Look at ACT clutches. They are great and the price is reasonable. Just check thim out when you get the chance. Hope that helps.

Given the unknows of how many mods you have, here are a couple of recommendations that the rx7store.net has:

Street/Strip

Heavy Duty
http://66.216.67.51/product.asp?0=206&1=241&3=27

I am guessing since you say you don't race a lot the Street/Strip will be your best bet.

If you do a clutch kit from ACT don't buy a pilot bearing and throw-out bearing separately from Mazda, they come with the kit. My kit didn't come with a pilot bearing seal so you will want to pick up a new one from Mazda.

MichRx7 is right. Go ACT or RPS. Those from what I have heard are the 2 to go for. I also have to buy a clutch for spring and I am going for whatever one will be the cheapest.

I had a STAR Spec Stage 2 in my last car from BNRSupercars and loved it. Not taking anything away from ACT as I've heard great things about them too though.
