$400? ****, back to making my own. In materials, it will be less than $100, with me doing the labor.

Yeah, $400 is too much. $250-275 would be fair. But it does look like a quality unit.

Had to use epoxy to repair two cracks in mine before sanding and painting. I just sanded down and repainted my fibreglass chin spoiler. Not sure who made it, it's the rounded style, as though the bottom of the front of the car is duplicated (with brake ducts built in). I used "Endura" paint - two part epoxy (polyurethane) paint. The paint should be stronger than the unit ;-). Put on primer, white, CYM, and clearcoat - four coats! Dam insects, got two aphids in the paint. Oh well, first trip with it last month I scraped it on the ramp entering the ferry to Vanc. Island, and I'm sure it'll receive more damage soon. It's pretty low (3.5" above ground). It didn't crack, just "leveled out" the bottom a bit, and not visable.

That was a lot of work, but worth it. It looks much better.

I see what appears to be a replica knightsports hood, but is the front lip another replica part as well? If so, of what front lip?

Good news from Seibon. I talked to them about making carbon doors and a Scoot replica, here's the response I got:

We should be able to make the Scoot style hood in carbon. If we can get 5 or more people to get this hood, we can offer about $800 or maybe a lower price.

For the carbon doors, I will check out prices on the them, we can make it use all the factory hardware.

For the one-piece front end, we can make it with the fenders, I will find out more information on that too.

The price for the rear hatch is $650 and for the front lip is $400. However, I can offer you a better price if you can get a groupbuy.

$800 or less for a carbon Scoot replica and all we need is 5 people for a group buy!!! For that price, I beat we could get 15 people. Probably for 15 pieces, he'd give it for $650-700 range.

Cool

Carbon Fiber Hood, Carbon Fiber front 99spec lip, MS01 wheels (I think), and centre rear wing Carbon Fiber.

Not to mention the suspension work done...

Yes, it's a very good price and from the pictures, it looks like they have quality stuff. Is there anyone in Indianapolis that can go check it out in person? ANYONE????

Man, that'd be great??? Let me know if you're down, I'll give you the contact and you can make arrangements with them. Also, take a digital camera. Shoot, take your FD, have them do a test fit on your car, see how well it mates up!!! Let me know...

I'm only about an hour away from Indy. Problem is, I'll be gone for the next month on business. I'd be willing to head over there and check this place out once I get back (if no one has done it by then).

As for that lip, I'm not sure what it's a replica of. It doesn't look like a 99spec (too rounded), and it doesn't quite look like an R1 (notice the way the center portion rises a bit).... I know I've seen that lip somewhere, I'm just trying to figure out what company....

About the carbon "door panels"--if you look at the picture of what they consider a door panel for a Civic it's the interior door panel. The guy is probably talking about making the same thing for the FD and it accepting the stock window switches and stuff.

I think you're both right and wrong. I think they make both. Some say door panel and some say door. The part number for panels end with "p".

Cool

Hood looks very nice and the price, nothing to complaint about either.
Question is does anyone has bought one of these and mounted it????
How did the instalation go???
Did it fit well or did you have to modify???
How much modification to fit it???
Remember the saying " You Get What You Pay For" .

Actually this can be done with no cracking or shipping! I found a new spray paint called Fusion. It's designed for plastic, needs no prep work like sanding or primer. It actually bonds to the plastic to hold to it better. It's like $3 at wal mart. Works great! It dries in 15 minutes and is ready to be handled in 1 hour. I used it to make my 99 spec taillights! It's also full ship resistant in 7 days! I love it and it comes in all colors too! Try it out, thats what I'm gonna do to mine!

for another $350, they'll make use full carbon Scoot hoods instead. I'm still waiting for someone to volunteer to go to their place and check their stuff.

screw the scoot hood. I either want the new MS hood or the N1 hood. The scoot is just too high. It makes the car look less sleak.
