New brakes... New problems... no brake feel...

So i jsut put on powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads. I bedded them in per the zeckhausen method, and i now have ZERO brake feel, i need to put the pedal all the way to the floor to get the brakes to stop and the brakes fade out right away. Brake booster, Brake master cylinder, not enough brake fluid, what do you guys think is causing this?

If the pedal is going to the floor you likely have a problem other than the pads.

Assuming everything is installed correctly, have you ever flushed and bled your brake fluid?

Did you open any of the bleeder valves when doing the pad swap? (some people believe that is the proper way to move the pistons back into the caliper)

If you have properly bedded the pads and rotors and the pedal is going to the floor you have a substantial problem. Go back through every step you performed.

i didnt personally do it. The brakes were bled since the calipers were off for painting while the brakes were getting done. This is a reptuable shop i used, so i have to assume they know how to do pads and rotors.

so you think i should re bleed the brakes and go form there?

Sounds like you have air in your break line.

Re-bleed.

Do you have Speedbleeders? If not, disregard this paragraph. Note that they don't work well when there is a large amount of air in the system from changing lines or taking the calipers off for painting. The air just compresses and the speedbleeder check valve doesn't crack open to let it out. Switch back to normal bleeder screws to get most of the air out, and then you can switch back to speedbleeders to finish if this is what happened for you.
