New ACT clutch, burning smell

I finally got my car back. I've been driving as gently as possible on my ACT SS clutch and SR flywheel. But I smell burning clutch when the windows are down. Is this normal for the break in period? I'm not side stepping it or being hard on it. I'm driving her like a baby for the break in period. Did my mechanic screw up? None of my dash lights or gauge lights work. I saw he caught a wire going to the gauges under my shifter. I hope he didn't hook up anything backwards in the center console.

I've never smelled burning clutch except when I'm burning my clutch. I would open the inspection cover and get someone to work the clutch - watch for proper motion.

But if it's shifting fine it may not be a big problem.
