New 1995 FD owner (finally) WHOOHOOO
I just bought the 1995 Black/Black car that was sold by EVSmotors in houston to sidewinder02, but I bought it from sidewinder02 in Maryland.
Now,
I need a few things to help me get started here.
As some may know, I have "collection"of 2nd gen cars, from a 10thAE all the way to 3 1991's and one is a 'vert.
I have a virtual warehouse of parts for these cars.
(I may liquidate about 50% of all this though)
So, i am very comfortable with tweaking on these cars, becuase of my spare parts and countless hours of building them.
BUT... I have to start over on the FD series...
1)
I have access to a FC junkyard, but not to an FD junkyard.
Anyone know where one is in or near ATL/GA?
I need a new Airbox, mine has a broken set of clasps on the left side. (Bottom shell) - allows air to leak in a bit
I need various clasps and bumper parts, the nose was repainted and is missing a few fasteners and things specific to FDs.
2)
I need a rear hatch cover. (The one that raises with the hatchback)
3)
I need the second oil cooler kit.
How do those coolers interconnect?
Is there an upgrade kit that has the full dual cooler and is bigger?
My 1st priority is to make sure my turbos are CHILLY.
I dont want heat problems.
so....
I basically need a source for used parts, preferably where I can mill around and pull parts myself if possible.
Any other resources in GA that I should know about now that I have this car?
P.S.
I think all owners of rare FD cars should have previously been owners of FCs....
it helps make sure these 500 1995 cars will stay on the road.

i'm not sure of any actual junkyards that have FD parts in your area, but the best place i can suggest is the forsale section, you'll find everything you need there, and for not that much either. Good luck with the FD.

You're behind the times bro, nobody uses the stock airbox anymore
Congrats on the FD. I'll be curious to know if you still dabble with your own FC's, or if you lose interest. I did sell my FC but not necessarily because I lost interest, I just needed to choose between the 2.

Best place to get used parts is here on the forum. Scroll all the way to the bottom in the Parts for Sale section.
