The RB Dauls are, IMO, the greatest exhaust made for the FD. It really seperates you from the Honda crowd with those huge coffee can exhausts. I'm running the RB Duals with a Magnaflow M/P from rx7store, and I've had quite a few people tell me it's the best exhaust they've ever heard.

Since I won't let anyone drive my car, I've yet to hear it from the back

they told me there was no sound diff, sorry forgot to add that, but yea if i was going to get a rb, i would go duel because the single tip is just to small for my taste, and the duel just looks really good

obviously the sound of your exhaust increases as the out put of the horses to the wheel. so taking this in to account would you start with the most straight though design knowing that you might have to buy another system because you started with the most quite one!!!! makes you think.

I have always liked the angle tip, but RB duals look good and sound good too.

The sound of the exhaust will change with every mod... The less the mods BEFORE the catback, the more difference the brand you buy will make.

You start running big ports, single turbo and 3+ inches all the way back and there's hardly a difference. They're all blistering loud.

I had several on my FD when it was close to stock... they were all tolerable. I personally liked the HKS Hyper. Once I went to a big *** streetport, a big single, and 3+" all the way down, nothing could calm that sound. Even the Borla Xr1 in the midpipe didn't do much.

Just personal experience...

i did sooooo much research myself on this before i finally bought my Racing Beat dual tip. I wanted something that looked stock and had a nice sound to it. And let me tell you after i installed my RB i fell in love with the car all over again. the sound is perfect, not too loud but u will deffinitely hear a nice difference.

Bear with me for a quick question that I'd be embarrassed to start a thread over. I have an old (10yr? HKS [not even sure what model]) cat back. now I also have down pipe and Pettit HF Cat (BNR Stage 3 turbos). My question is even with a good tune (Steve Kan) I get a pretty consistant, and annoying "pop pop" every time i go from mild to nuetral throttle. Will the RB dual set up (help) eliminate that? Thanks for your input.

There's not much you can do but put back the pre-cat, and I really don't think you want to do that.

yes and no... Sound is also relative to the muffler design that is canister vs tubular.

another vote for the RB duals.
Racing Beat duals are only quiet at cruise and at mid throttle; floor that bitch and it get's LOUD. RB duals + resonated MP = sweetness. I live in san diego as well so the quietness + stock look is the way to go.

^^ where do people get that from? I haven't seen one piece of evidence to back that up? Just make sure a few months ago I called RB to ask them about using my RB duals with a single turbo, with a goal of 400 RWHP, and if the exhaust would be up to the task. They chuckled and said "dude it's a 3 inch exhaust... how much do you think you need?"

When i say "limit" i don't mean the amount of total horsepower you can achieve - i mean you could squeeze out a little more horsepower using a less restrictive exhaust

I like my Apexi GT Spec. Love the sound. When I get hassled and it's only happend twice (it was a bad week for me) I put the silencer in. If your hauling *** your going to get pulled over for sound or speed or both. If you just drive normal most cops don't even care. In my case I was getting on the freeway and it was poping and shooting out flames.....LOL opps!
